WELCOME TO WATFORD WRITERS' COMPETITION PAGE

February's writing competition was a double-header: Flash Fiction and Poetry.

Taking the theme of "randomness / selective" on from our in-person meeting in the Quakers Hall on 2 February, the competition was to select a line from a song lyric (not the title!). Authors could choose any genre of song but it had to be a line taken from a song lyric. 

We received 9 flash fiction entries; and, 12 poetry entries.

Deadline for scoring is 7pm on Friday 20 February. Please download a score sheet (available below) and email your scores to ianwelland@hotmail.co.uk 

If you are unable to use the score sheet, please email your scores: 3pts for your fav, 2points for your second fav, and 1point for your third fav, to ianwelland@hotmail.co.uk

Remember - if you have entered you MUST score - failure to do so, will result in your entry(s) being withdrawn. No correspondence will be entered into.

Results will be announced at our meeting on 23 February.
