MEETINGS and ACTIVITIES

Group members are respectfully asked when contributing to meetings either in written form or verbally, not to use potentially harmful derogatory terms, words, themes, or language, likely to cause offence.

In all submissions or discussions we would encourage group members to ask themselves if they align with the following guiding principle of being: True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, Kind to all.

"RANDOM WORDS"

A writing exercise on the night (no pre-planning or pre-writing!) - a poem or a 100 word piece of flash fiction. After the break we share the results.

On 13 June 2026, the Oxhey Village Fete will be taking place and Watford Writers have a bookstall. If you would like your own books to be sold at the fete, please bring to the Quakers Hall and hand to Pat Simpson. If you have books for a raffle, please also bring these, wrapped, and pass to Pat Simpson - these should be clearly marked "Adult " or "Children"

Why not share with the group and receive constructive feedback to help you along.

You are welcome to read up to 1000 words.

In the interest of fairness to all, please could any manuscipt reading be kept to 1000 words max; monologues and plays no more than 10 mins; poetry 12 - 48 lines.
